The event seeks to build local network of volunteers who can track food produce from the farmers to the stores, markets, and silos. This enable track excess of food and avoid waste. It will also help save some food for the needy.
The sixth observance of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste will be observed on 29 September 2025 and will call for the expansion and strengthening of stakeholder efforts to reduce food loss and waste (FLW), as a critical element of securing a sustainable food future for all.
