UNEP Nairobi Celebrates Fourth International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste

The fourth edition of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste will be observed on the 29th Sept, 2023. Ahead of the day, UNEP comms division would like to host an event aimed to sensitize colleagues on the challenge & opportunity of food waste, complemented by demos that put the discussion into action and are engaging/interactive so that the messages resonated with the audiences that attend. The day serves as a call to action for public and private entities to take action to reduce food loss and waste through the transformation of agrifood systems.

We would like to host this event at the rec centre/VIP lounge on Thursday 28th September, 2023 from 14:30-16:00 PM.

We will also use this event as an opportunity to encourage colleagues to participate in the complementary social media challenge that we are running online - #EveryPlateCounts.

Featured speakers include:

Zara Benosa, Partnerships & Business Development, Farm to Feed
Jennifer Y Wang, Chief Commercial Officer, Taka Taka solutions
Brian Sagala, Head of Marketing & customer relations, Taka Taka solutions
Ria Sejpal, Founder & Creative Director, LILABARE
